We are part of the White Mountain Footwear Group, which was founded in 1979 by four shoemakers who combined their wealth of shoe industry experience to reopen a recently shuttered factory in Lisbon, New Hampshire, the historical home of American Shoemaking. The Cliffs by White Mountain brand was launched in 2010 as a value-focused extension of the White Mountain heritage, bringing affordable yet stylish comfort footwear to women across the United States.
Our parent company has grown from humble beginnings to operate four women's shoe brands: White Mountain (1979), Rialto (2005), Cliffs by White Mountain (2010), and Seven Dials (2015). In January 2023, White Mountain Footwear Group was acquired by American Exchange Group, expanding our reach and opening doors to new product categories including slippers, flip flops, aqua socks, and water shoes for women, men, and kids.
With offices in Lisbon, New Hampshire and Norwood, Massachusetts, plus international operations in China, our design team travels the world year-round to bring the latest trends to our customers. We remain one of the top employers in Lisbon, NH, with many employees who have been with us for decades.
